this was my fifth stay in platanes, and it exceeded my expectations. the pool area was well-maintained with plenty of sun beds, and the bar served great snacks throughout the day. our one-bedroom apartment was spacious and ideal for family relaxation.

air conditioning was an extra charge.

Several issues dampened the experience, starting with the inadequate soundproofing. noise from the active pool bar below the balconies was disruptive, especially late into the night. The basic kitchenette left much to be desired, with limited cooking utensils and a lack of some essentials like a microwave, which made meal prep challenging. the cleaning schedule was on the sparse side, with towels only replaced twice a week, creating a sense of neglect in upkeep. The surrounding neighborhood lacked charm, with litter and noisy streets, which didn’t provide the peaceful environment we were hoping for.

Lovely spot for family fun

We spent 14 nights in a one-bedroom apartment and had a blast. The staff were super friendly and fixed a problem in our room almost immediately. The pool area was great, always plenty of sunbeds. Just be ready for a bit of a hill to climb back after exploring—keeps you fit! Breakfast is decent too, a nice way to start the day.

While the location was convenient to local shops and the beach, the room was a bit noisy in the evenings, especially being near the bar area. the kitchenette provided basic utensils but could benefit from more comprehensive options for meal prep.

But the water pressure was a pain, especially in the shower. Occasionally, it felt a bit noisy at night, too, from the bar area nearby.

our stay at the apollon was great! the pool area was lovely, with plenty of sun loungers. we enjoyed the large outdoor pool and its well-maintained cleanliness. the walk to the beach was only 10 minutes, making it super convenient. everyone we met, especially the friendly bar staff, made our time even better!
